Jack Hastings
Councilman Jack Hastings is running for re-election to the Surprise City Council to continue to be the voice for the residents of District 5.
Jack has lived in Surprise for 20 years and is married to his wife Olivia. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University and his Master’s Degree in 2021. He taught Civics for seven years in the Dysart Unified School District.
Councilman Hastings has helped pass balanced budgets on the Surprise City Council. He has voted against tax increases and supported cutting property taxes.
Jack is a strong supporter of public safety and an outspoken advocate for our first responders. His faith and relationship with God is central to his life. He loves Surprise and is dedicated to giving back to the city he grew up in.
